The Game Changer Challenge 2025 - "Unleash Your Financial Talent"

On the 26th of July, PAC hosted The Game Changer Challenge 2025. The competition was designed to increase brand awareness of UOW Malaysia and its Professional Accountancy Centre (PAC), particularly among Form 5 students from the accounting stream. It also provided a platform for students to apply their knowledge of accounting, mathematics, and general knowledge in an engaging and competitive setting.

1. Competition Structure
The competition was carried out in three progressive stages:

Stage 1: Online Exam
  • Conducted via exam.net, invigilated through live Google Meet sessions.
  • Each team member answered 60 MCQs in accounting, mathematics, and general knowledge.
  • 250 students (50 teams from 24 schools) participated.
  • The top 25 teams advanced to Stage 2
Stage 2: Case Study Presentation
  • Teams submitted recorded video presentations solving a real-world accounting case.
  • Judged on analysis, creativity, and presentation delivery.
  • Top 20 teams (100 students) were selected for the final stage.
Stage 3: Final Stage – Cashflow Board Game (26 July 2025)
  • Held physically at UOW Malaysia Glenmarie.
  • Included a training session, mock round, and final competitive round.
  • Participants applied strategic decision-making and cashflow management skills in a simulated environment.

3. Event Impact


  • Strengthened School Engagement: Built meaningful connections with teachers and principals from more than 20 secondary schools across Klang Valley and beyond.
  • High-Quality Leads: Generated 250 strong leads comprising Form 5 students who fit the target demographic for UOW Malaysia’s ACCA-FIA programme.
  • Programme Visibility: Successfully promoted the ACCA-FIA programme through hands-on experience, direct interaction with PAC staff, and detailed programme briefings.
  • Student Development: Fostered critical thinking, financial decision-making, and collaborative skills among all participants.
  • Institutional Branding: Increased awareness of UOW Malaysia as a premier institution for accountancy education through a memorable, well-executed competition.
