Advise from Mr Ong Hui Zhe

Mr Ong Hui Zhe, ACCA affiliate 2011 from KDU , who completed ACCA within 3 years by 21 years old.

• SMK USJ 12                                      

2. Your age this year? 

• Born 1991, turning 21 this May 8!! =)

3. Do you have any family members who inspired you to study ACCA? 

• Mummy! she's an FCCA. 

4. Your best ACCA lecturer? And how he/she inspired you? 

• All my lecturers has in some way inspired me, however if i would to have to pinpoint one, it would be Mr Joey Wong. =) That dude is superb man! He likes making tough things easy. I guess that's what all of us need to learn in life- SIMPLIFY!!

5. How many years you take to complete ACCA? 

• CAT and ACCA, Total of 3 years. =) 

6. Why you choose KDU? 

• Because of its competent lecturers! DUHHHH

7. 3 words to describe your study experience in KDU? 

• People inspire People 

8. Your favourite past time? 

• I love photography!! have been doing it since I was 13 years old. Photography allows me to look at things from a different perspective, and the whole idea of capturing God's wonderful creation is just breathtaking! 

9. What is your job now? 

• I just came back from a 2 months internship with Genting Hong Kong in Manila, Philippines. However, I will be starting my career as an audit associate in July soon! but at the time being, ENJOYING!!!

 But at KDU PAC, I found the perfect balance. Knowing that my lecturers are competent, robust and experience, that gave me the peace of mine, to study ACCA, sleep WELL, speak KNOWLEDGE and walk CONFIDENTLY.

Friends, I always have 2 values I hold dearest in my life. Number 1, “Seize my divine moment”. Did you know that the word “moments” came from the word “atom” which came from the Greek word “atomos”.

 Now, atoms as learned in physics are flying all around you and me right now, if you don’t seize it, you miss the opportunity and it seldom come back again. 

So friends, don’t let your study moments fly pass you just like that. Seize it! Be master over your time! Prioritize!

Secondly, I always tell myself to have a spirit of “Excellency”. What? You heard me, Excellency! It means that whatever my hands find to do, I do it to my level best! 

If you have enrolled in 3 subjects, give your best to understand, analyze and develop the knowledge required for those 3 subjects. 

I have once asked Mr. Daniel Lee, how do I juggle so many subjects at once? He gave me an analogy; “if you have 3 children which one would you love more?” it’s really a plain dumb question to ask right? “You would love them all equally!” so friends, do the same! Learn to love all your subjects! Don’t pick and choose!

Hence I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my lecturers, friends and family whom has helped me finished this race!

 If you are still in this ACCA race, fellow athletic, run in such a way that you will WIN! Practice self discipline, patience and be passionate about it!
